Francisco Girado is a professional wilderness guide, logistics expert, and wildlife photographer. He has led guests in the southern steppes of Patagonia and the rainforest of Brazil. Small details are key for him, and while working with high-end tourism, he developed skills for taylor-made and unique experiences. He recently coordinated the team of guides at Awasi Hotel in Patagonia and has collaborated with Redbull and renowned Reinhold Messner as a producer for a documentary in Chalten. Growing up in a typical Argentinean ranch helped him to develop his passion and curiosity about nature. After high school, he traveled to Patagonia to stay in a ranch for a week, but ended up working there for a couple of years as a guide, spending most of his time in the company of arguably one of the most photographed and colorful gauchos in the world. “I consider myself a fixer, I like making things work and making them look simple. Always excited about new challenges and improving”. He also enjoys hiking, climbing, and spending time in the wild.
